Altitude

The highest of the Huangshan peaks rise 1800 meters (about 6,000 feet) above sea level.

Summit

Many visitors reach the main summit by walking up long, steep stairs. For those less inclined, there's a cable car.

Name

Huangshan translates as "yellow mountains" (huang is yellow, shan is mountain).
