Hat and sunscreen
You'll be in the tropics, which means there is less atmosphere to filter skin-damaging sun rays. And, you will likely be outdoors more than you're accustomed to back home. So bring a brimmed hat to shade your nose, ears and neck. Also pack sunscreen - and use it.
Shoes
Caribbean cruisers do a lot of walking and stair climbing, onboard and on the islands. Comfortable walking shoes are essential. Make sure they are broken in and have non-slip soles.
Pack two swimsuits
You will probably be swimming or sunbathing a lot on the pool deck or at a sandy beach ashore. Why put on a wet swimsuit? Use one while the other is drying.
Arrive with spare
space in your luggage
The Caribbean Islands' duty-free stores entice visitors to open their wallets. Reserve ample room in your bags to store your purchases.
